My Story
Pet First Aid Training by Sara came about when Sara started her Dog Walking and Home Boarding buisiness (Who Lets Your Dog Out? Ltd) in 2018, and couldn't find any local (within about 90 mins drive) in peson Pet/Canine First Aid courses to attend, so she did an online course and felt there was something missing from the experience.
So she took some time to do some research and found that she could become an instructor, so not just learn, but also help others to help the pets in their care.
As a pet professional it is essential that you know what to do should someones prized pet have an accident or suffer the onset of an illness whilst in your care. It gives owners a real sense of security and comfort to know that you are there and qualified to help them if there is a problem.
As a pet owner the knowledge that you can look after the small and the more serioius alignments that you can treat them and keep them safe and stable if you need to take them to the vets.
I know exactly how you feel because I used to feel the same way.
I was scared that I might know what to do in theory, but not actually be able to do it and like you I hoped I would never actually have to do it, but I have helped so many customers, and friends with their pets, that I discovered there is really a lack of knowledge amongst pet owners, which is why start teaching others which is why Pet First Aid Training by Sara was born.
I am a big beliver in hands on experience is key to remembering what you need to do in a first aid situation, which is why I am so keen to get everyone on a face to face course, where you can ask any question and if I don't know the answer I will get back to you and the rest of the class after I find it out.
By taking part in one of our courses you become part of the family and will always be able to ask further questions, we don't just abandon you after you do the course.
If you have a dog that likes to eat everything, and you panic that you don't know if it is dangerous for them and what you can do to prevent them getting ill or worse, then this course will inform you of the dangerous stuff and what to do if they eat a dead Bird, Hedgehog, or Rabbit! Yes, I have seen all of it adn one dog did 2 in 2 days!
